PREPARING
Papalote is uniquely located in an agricultural valley where indigenous men and women form the majority of the workforce coming from states that lack work opportunities (such as Oaxaca). These workers often come from Oral Tradition backgrounds (speaking a traditional village language) rather than from Spanish speaking families.
These men and women are open to the gospel and desire to return to their native villages to share the good news of the saving power of the gospel of Christ... but they must be prepared and sent.
Today we have graduated two Generations of students, a total of 8 students, all of whom are ministering in some capacity. Generation Three will graduate in June of 2010. Of these 8 graduates, six are indigenous.
Instituto Biblico Baja officially opened its doors October 2006 through the vision of Ramon Ross Rubio and through the support of Northern Light Ministries. The mission of IBB is to prepare (II Timothy 2:15) men and women for the work of the ministry as Pastors, Lay Leaders, Missionaries, and Evangelists to reach Mexico and the World for Jesus Christ.
We have graduated two missionaries and six ministers of the gospel. Our job does not stop there. We continue to support them through communication, prayer, sending support teams to minister to them, and make available continuing education at no cost.
Through Internships
IBB has a goal to place potential pastors and missionaries in internship opportunities for experience and further learning.
(Feb. 2010) - Richard is preparing to go to Chalcatongo as an intern under Senen for a month. We hope he will be there for the corn planting season so that he can model God's love in giving of himself to help others without expectation of return.

Life Skills Training
Skill training is an important element for many of the students. Included in their education is an opportunity to learn skills to help financially supplement the needs of a ministry family. (Construction, plumbing, electrical, welding, etc.) We have found this to be a critical element in the preparation of ministers and missionaries who will have few resources and little financial support in the vocation into which God has called them to serve.
